At the start of a new year, it’s always nice to take a look back at the past 12 months. To see what you’ve acheived, as well as where things could have gone a bit better.
One of the things I like to do is to pull up a list of the most popular posts here on the blog. It’s always interesting to see which posts were popular, whether they are new content or evergreen posts from previous years.
This year’s selection includes quite a few beauty posts, and a Christmas recipe that always seems to be popular!
It’ll be interesting to see how the list changes next year, as I started to post more travel content later on in 2017. But for now, here are the 10 most popular posts of 2017, in reverse order:
10 – Take Care of Sensitive Skin with Avene Tolerance Extreme
This skincare review from August 2016 still proved very popular with you during 2017. It’s a really great product for people with sensitive skin, and definitely worth trying if your skin needs a little extra care.
9 – Fabulous Fabulift Hydra Boost Anti-Wrinkle Serum
Another skincare post from the summer of 2016, but for a very different product. This time, it’s an anti-ageing skincare range that promises to lift as well as hydrate the skin. Does it live up to its promises? You’ll have to read the review to find out!
8 – How to cook the Christmas Ham?
I originally posted this recipe back in December 2015, and it’s been really popular for the last two years at Christmas time. It’s a really easy and delicious festive recipe for ham, which we eat every Christmas Eve.
I cooked it again this year, and it’s still really popular with my family. I think they’d be really disappointed if I tried to cook the Christmas Ham any other way!
7 – Is this Foundation an Airbrush in a bottle?
I tried this Boots No7 foundation in the summer of 2015, and the review is still really popular. It seems like a lot of you want to know if Airbrush Away lives up to its name!
6 – Update your Beauty Routine for Spring with Tesco
At the start of 2017, I was sent a lovely bundle of skincare goodies from Tesco. I reviewed the products in the spring, but you’ve been searching for this post right throughout the year.
5 – 11 Benefits of Using a Slow Cooker or Crockpot
The next post comes from the Autumn of 2017, when my thoughts turned to slow cooked comfort food for the colder weather. I posted about 11 reasons why you should buy a slow cooker, and you’ve been clicking through to that post ever since.
4 – Oomph Portable Coffee Maker: Review
I also tried out the Oomph Portable Coffee Maker in October 2017, and really liked it. This post has been popular since it went live, so there are obviously a lot of coffee fans among the SallyAkins.com readers!
3 – FutureYou Turmeric+: Can it help Joint Stiffness?
Lots of you have been reading this review over the last 15 months. I reviewed Turmeric+ from Future You in the Autumn of 2016, after using the tablets for a month long trial. Turmeric is claimed to be able to ease joint stiffness, but you’ll have to read the review to find out if it helped my achey joints.
2 – Avene PhysioLift Skincare Review
Another Avene product review makes it into the top ten posts of 2017. This time it is for the Physiolift range, which is aimed at ‘ageing’ skin. No, I’m not keen on the term either, but the products were really good!
1 – HoMedics Newa: A Full Review
And finally, my full review of the HoMedics Newa Skin Rejuvenation System was the most popular post on my blog during 2017. The post originally featured on the blog in October 2015, but it seems that you still love reading it!
