As the weather starts to get warmer and the days start to get longer, Spring is the perfect time to pep up your skincare routine. Tesco have a fabulous skincare range available online and in store, and they  sent me a selection of their products to try out.

Tesco Aloe Skincare range

The Aloe range is designed to moisturise and soothe all skin types, and there are products to pamper you from top to toe.

You can start your beauty routine off with the Cleansing Milk Lotion and Refreshing Toner. These clean away impurities without stripping away your skin’s natural moisture, while the Aloe Vera ingredients calm your skin.

The Moisturising Face Cream and Eye Contour cream  are ideal if you want a light moisturiser. The Face Cream sinks in quickly to leave skin feeling smooth, and has a gorgeous delicate Aloe Vera scent. Although it does contain an SPF, it is only SPF6 so don’t forget to top up before you go out in the sun.

But it’s the bodycare products that really got my interest. There is a Aloe Vera Body Oil, and a Body Milk Lotion and Body Gel, all enriched with Aloe Vera. They are all absorbed really easily into your skin, leaving it soothed and nourished.

The oil is particularly great to use after a shower, and I know that I’ll love using the gel in the summer months. I try my best not to, but I always seem to catch a little sun once or twice through the summer. This Body Gel has a lovely soothing and cooling effect.

The whole  Tesco Aloe skincare range is such fantastic value, with prices starting from just £2, they won’t break the bank. If you are looking to keep your skincare fairly light, this is well worth checking out.

Tesco Scosmetics range

Also new at Tesco this year is the sCosmetics range of anti-ageing skincare. It includes a Face Cream and Eye Contour Cream which are both enriched with collagen and silanol.

There is also a very light Specialised Efficacy Anti Wrinkle Face Cream. This contains Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid to help plump up the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I love the fact that this is in a pump action bottle, and the cream is so light, it’s more like a lotion. These products only have a low SPF, so I would definitely recommend topping up with a dedicated SPF.

In this range, I’m very interested in the Lifting Face Cream. It revitalises the skin and helps to restore facial definition. It also contains SPF30, to help protect your skin from the ageing effects of the sun.

Believe it or not, these products are all priced at £5 or under. It just goes to show that at Tesco, you don’t need to spend a fortune to get high-tech skincare!

Tesco AntiAge Caviar skincare range

And I’m also very excited by Tesco’s AntiAge Caviar range which includes products to care for face and body.

The Repairing Serum is an ultra-concentrated serum which leaves skin feeling moisturised immediately. Combined with the Illuminating Face Cream, skin feels revitalised and moisturised. The accompanying Eye Cream helps to stimulate skin regeneration and helps to rehydrate the delicate skin around your eyes.

The Tesco AntiAge products all contain a caviar extract to deliver vital vitamins, minerals and protein to your skin. They’re also enriched with anti-oxidant Vitamin E to counteract free radical damage. These products also only have a low SPF so you will need to apply a separate sunscreen as well.

I love the classic look of the silver packaging, and the delicate scent of the products. And amazingly, each of these products is under £7!

The AntiAge range also includes a Rosehip cleansing cream, which helps to boost collage in the skin while reducing pigmentation. I also love the rich anti-ageing body cream and hand cream, which help to firm and tone skin.

So whether you want a light, fresh skincare regime to prepare your skin for the warmer weather, or high tech anti-ageing skincare at a fabulous price, the new Tesco skincare range is well worth a look.

All of these products are now available from Tesco stores and online, prices start from just £2.

Hi, I was wondering have you continued to use these products and what do you think of them after using them for a while?

    • Sally Akins says:

Hi Serena! Sorry it’s taken me a while to get back to you on this, I’m just catching up on comments. Unfortunately the anti-ageing range didn’t agree with my skin. I sometimes have a bad reaction to skincare, I’m not 100% sure but I think that it’s often to do with the scent. So I wasn’t able to put them through a full review.

      • Serena says:

Thank you for your reply. I’m amazed they are offering these products so cheaply it seems too good to be true! There doesn’t seem to be anyone else talking about them so will try for myself. Thanks again.

I’d love to hear how you get on. There are some very good skincare options out on the High Street these days. They might not contain quite as much of the active ingredients as the premium brands which accounts for some of the cost savings, but I also think a lot of the savings come from the reduced packaging and marketing costs. You don’t often get big Hollywood stars advertising the High Street skincare in glossy magazines ;-)

    Hi

I am trying desperately to buy more of the ANTIAGE Caviar Firming Body Cream, I can see that Tesco sell this product anymore yet they sell the face creams. Have tried e-bay etc but nothing. Any ideas?

This product is amazing – For me anyway.

    Thanks Karen

    • Sally Akins says:

I’ve had a quick search but I’ve drawn a blank as well, sorry Karen! Have you tried contacting Tesco on social media, they might be able to help? It’s such a pain when brands discontinue a favourite product!

Let me know how you get on

      Sally

Hi Yvette, I don’t have the packaging with me to check for sure, but from what I can see online, it looks like they are. Sorry I can’t give a more definite answer, Sally

I Really liked All of the Aloe Range, its Pureness as I’m Allergic to Scent & Paragens & Silicone. My Eyelids haven’t flared up since using the Eye Contour Lotion & haven’t needed to use Steroid cream from Dr’s Thankfully. Seems currently unavailable in Tesco’s, Very sad about that as I’m not finding it Online either. Please Tesco’s Keep Stocking this same Brand.
