This week’s Sunday photo was taken on one of my walks with Charlie, down by the canal in Newport.
It was still looking fairly summery when we headed out that morning, and there had obviously been a bit of a tidy up while I’d been away on holiday. Last time I saw it, the canal itself was full of lily pads and other plants when I last saw it. The reeds at the side of the canal had been fairly overgrown as well, but now they’rea bit tidier.
It’s a beautiful place to walk, and I enjoy seeing all of the changes throughout the year. Soon it will be starting to look autumnal, with all the reds and yellows of the changing leaves on the trees. So it was good to make the most of the summer greenery while it lasts.
