Giveaway CLOSED: Win Niederegger Marzipan Chocolates

This giveaway is now closed. I’ll soon be announcing who will be winning this delicious chocolate marzipan selection, thanks to Niederegger Lubeck.

Today I've got some very special chocolates to give away to two SallyAkins.com readers, thanks to Niederegger Lubeck.

I’ve always loved marzipan chocolates, ever since I was a little girl. So I was very excited when a package from Niederegger Lubeck turned up in the post recently.

Johann Georg Niederegger discovered the delicacy in the early 19th century and fell in love with its flavour. He created his own version, which uses as many almonds and as little sugar as possible. This gives the Niederegger marzipan a particularly fine texture and flavour. Niederegger’s first store opened in the German town of Lubeck in 1806, and they’ve been creating delicious marzipan treats ever since.

Niederegger marzipan contain 58% pure Mediterranean almonds, with no extra added sugar. This is what gives the marzipan its excellent texture and flavour. Niederegger sent me one of their 18 piece gift boxes, filled with 11 different specialities. The flavoured marzipan loaves are delicious with a coffee, and the fruit filled ‘pies’ are very indulgent. This box would be perfect to give away to a loved one, or just to treat yourself.

The range includes plain and flavour marzipan cakes, all covered in either dark or milk chocolate. They also make marzipan ‘pies’ which have different fillings like Curacao or Kirsch. The quality and rich flavour are amazing – I’ve had this box sitting on my desk for the last few days and they’re just so tempting. It’s easy to see why Johann Georg Niederegger fell in love with marzipan back in the 1800s!

You can buy Niederegger marzipan from major food departments or from online retailers – click here to find out more.

And Niederegger have kindly given me two more selection boxes to give away as part of my 5th Blog Anniversary celebrations. Two lucky SallyAkins.com will receive one of the selection boxes shown above, full of delicious marzipan treats. Please note that the chocolates contain milk, soy and nuts.

Entering the giveaway is simple – just log into the Rafflecopter below and answer the easy question. There are additional social media entries that you can use to boost your chances of winning as well. This giveaway is open to all UK residents aged 18 and over, and will close at 11.59PM on 27th September 2017.

The question you need to answer to be in with a chance of winning this prize is: Who would you share your Niederegger Marzipan with?

Good luck!

  1. I adore Niederegger marzipan, is one of my very very favourite treats. Luckily for me my husband doesn’t like it so 8 war the lion’s share but usually take some for friends and family if I’m seeing them when I have a box on the go!!!

  2. A friend who has been having tests done for wheat allergies, because it’s a treat she’ll still be able to enjoy even if the tests come back positive.

  3. I’d have to ask around and see who likes it! I don’t think anyone I know has marzipan often, but I think it’s because it’s so much better to seek out the good stuff, with marzipan. It’s not as easy to just pick up at the counter at the newsagent. Great giveaway, thank you!

  4. I adore marzipan chocolate and have been hunting for some. Seems stores only have it at Christmas. Planning to stockpile it when it comes in. Share? Do I have to if I win?

  5. My sister because my German mum used to get her family to bring marzipan over whenever they visited so for us it is the taste of our childhood.

  6. I’d give these to my nan for christmas, she hit the 70 milestone this year and i always buy her a small marzipan choc bar as a stocking filler so this would be an extra special treat.

  7. I’d share with my dear husband and 3 kids. I first had marzipan on our honeymoon in Salzburg, Austria in 1999. Having grown up in America, I was amazed by the sheer beauty of Austria and the deliciousness of marzipan! 🙂

  8. I would like to share the box with Michael Kitchen but since he won’t be coming over to my house I would donate the chocs to my favourite animal charity for their Christmas fair.

  9. Our next-door neighbour, who despite working long hours, has helped us put our shed up over the last week. Even apologising when he has been at work and unable to help.

  10. Nobody! :0) My husband can’t stand marzipan, my older children have left home and my younger children are too little for sweets so it would be all mine to enjoy!

  11. I’d share with my fiancé, my mum and my bridesmaids whilst we do out seating plan – might need a sugar hit to steady the nerves!

  12. The whole family, who are a great emotional support and always sharing little treats. This time, it’s my turn to share some little treats, in the form of these awesome chocolates, with them!

  13. Hubby and the girls. Hubby had german family so we used to get these kinds of chocolates as gifts. Our kids have never tried them, so I’d love to share with them xx

  14. I would share this with my father in law, he absolutely loves marzipan, and he’s not well at the moment so this might help cheer him up!
