Regular readers of this blog will already know how much importance I put on good skincare.
Since I turned 40, I’ve really noticed a change in my skin, and that’s even more true as I get closer to menopause. My hormones have gone haywire, and it’s definitely affecting my skin.
And if I’m honest, over the last few months I’ve neglected my skin a little. Don’t get me wrong, I still cleanse twice daily, never sleep in make up, and always make sure that I moisturise properly.
But I haven’t been taking quite as much care of my skin as I did a little while ago. That’s something that I definitely need to nip in the bud!
So when Indeed Labs* asked if I’d like to try out a couple of their skincare products, it felt like a great opportunity to revamp my skincare routine. The two products that I selected are Indeed Labs Hydraluron moisture serum and Indeed Labs Nanoblur instant skin finisher.
Both products are available from Boots, along with the full Indeed Labs skincare range*.

Indeed Labs Hydraluron and Nanoblur – What They Say
Indeed Labs say that “90% of individuals who used hydraluron serum twice a day for eight weeks felt skin was healthier and more hydrated”. It’s described as the ultimate serum, containing the purest form of hyaluronic acid and red marine algae.
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar found naturally in the body. It acts like a sponge, soaking up water and plumping the skin. RedMarine Algae is a nutrient rich mineral which mildly stimulates the circulation.
Meanwhile, Nanoblur contains a light diffusing complex that gives an instant soft focus effect. It “works to optically blur the appearance of fine lines, large pores, oil and shine.
Both of these products are fragrance free, colour free and contain no parabens.
The Indeed Labs packaging is very clean and clinical looking. The clean white tubes, bold font and bright coloured lids make the products look modern and hi-tech, which makes me feel confident about using them.
Let’s take a look at each of the two products I’ve been trying out.
Indeed Labs Hydroluron
Hyaluronic acid is a skincare ingredient that I absolutely love. Once I discovered how it plumps up my skin, I’ve never looked back so this product was definitely one that I was keen to try.
Indeed Labs Hydraluron is a clear gel with quite a liquid consistency, and no discernable scent.
This product can be used both morning and evening, and the instructions say to apply a pea-sized amount to clean skin. Your usual moisturiser can be used afterwards, and I’ve been using this alongside my usual morning moisturiser, which is currently L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser Renew Anti Ageing Cream SPF 20*.
I found that the gel was very easy to apply and sinks in quickly. It left my skin feeling well moisturised and very smooth, and this feeling lasts throughout the day.
After using Hydraluron for two weeks, I definitely feel that my skin feels smoother and softer. My fine lines definitely look reduced immediately after application, but I haven’t seen any real improvement in the deeper lines around my eyes and between my eyebrows. I think they are beyond the capabilities of anything non-surgical!
Indeed Labs Nanoblur
Nanoblur is a product that has intrigued me for a while, so I was really keen to finally try it out. And I still find it quite intriguing!
It’s a very light cream/emulsion that contains a light diffusing powder in a fragrance-free, water-based formulation. You can use it any time, and it will fit easily into your daily skincare routine.
If you’re wearing Nanoblur without make up, then you can just pat it gently over your skin. It immediately works to blur out fine lines, remove excess shine, and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores.
Nanoblur can also be used underneath powder makeup, or you can pat it on over the top of liquid foundation. And if you have dry skin or want a dewier appearance, you can mix Nanoblur into your usual moisturiser.
Initially I thought that I would mainly keep Nanoblur for use on special occasions, to make me look ‘photo-ready’. But after using it for a while, I think that I actually prefer using it on the days when I’m going make-up free, to give my skin just a little bit of a helping hand!
Indeed Labs Skincare – The Verdict
When I started this skincare trial, I was expecting to really like Hydraluron and wasn’t really sure what to expect about Nanoblur.
Two weeks later, I’ve been really impressed by the Hydraluron serum. It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth, and that feeling lasts throughout the day. And it is priced quite reasonably at £24.99 for 30ml.
I’ve been very happy with the results it gives, and I can certainly see Hydraluron becoming a part of my regular skincare routine.
And although I didn’t know what to expect from Nanoblur, I’ve been quite impressed by it so far.
I don’t know if it will become part of my regular routine, but I do like the results it gives. It’s priced at £19.99 for 30ml, and considering that you only use a little dab of it, I think that price is quite reasonable as well. It’s a product that is worth trying out if you feel that your skin needs a little lift every now and then.
