Does your printer ink always seem to run out at the most inconvenient moment? HP Instant Ink will make sure you’re never out of ink, and it can even save you money!
This post is a collaboration with HP, but the opinions below are my own and unbiased.
I have a bit of a confession to make. You know how Penny off The Big Bang always ignores her ‘Check Engine’ light? Well, I’m a bit like that with the ‘Low Ink’ warnings on my printer.
Although I fill in a lot of forms online, I still seem to end up printing off a lot of paperwork to be signed and sent back. So my printer does go through quite a few ink cartridges, and I go through the same process every time.
When the first ‘Low Ink’ warning comes on, I check which colour is low and look to see if I have got that cartridge in stock. Of course I haven’t, so I carry on working and make a mental note to pick one up next time I’m in town or order some online. This continues for the next couple of weeks.
Eventually my printer decides that enough is enough, and goes on strike. It refuses to print any more paperwork until I have replaced the now-empty cartridge. This invariably happens when I need to print off a really urgent form, which simply can’t wait. I now have two options: stop whatever I am doing and drive into town, or place an order online, shell out for overnight delivery, and hope that whoever needs the form can wait an extra 24 hours for it.
Rinse and repeat a couple of months later…
So the HP Instant Ink sounds like it was designed precisely with people like me in mind! It’s so easy to use that the days of running out of ink could be at an end, even for a procrastinator like me. You simply buy an eligible HP Printer and choose a monthly plan based on the number of pages you print per month. Your printer sends a message when you are low on ink, and the carts are delivered to your door. Delivery costs are included in the monthly plan and you get a handy pre-paid envelope to recycle your old cartridge. It can even save you money – up to 70%!
Take a look at this video to see just how simple the HP Instant Ink system is:
Unused pages roll over to the next month, and you can easily change your plan online whenever you need to. It sounds like such an easy and convenient scheme, I know that when I replace my printer I’ll definitely be looking for one that is HP Instant Ink compatible!
