Summer is drawing to a close and as my sons return to school, thoughts are drifting towards all things autumnal.
Here on SallyAkins.com, I’ve got masses of great content lined up for the month ahead. From travel to one of Germany’s great cities, to dining at some of Birmingham’s fabulous restaurants, there’s plenty planned for you to check out.

In Travel
As this post goes live, I’ll be spending the weekend in Nuremberg, Germany, thanks to Nürnberg Tourismus. I’ll be exploring the Old Town and architecture, as well as looking at Nuremberg’s more recent history. And I can’t wait to try out the famous Nuremberg Bratwurst, Brezen and Lebküchen!
I’ve been looking forward to this trip for months, and you can follow along over on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
And once I’m back in the UK, I’ll be posting my suggestions on the best things to do and places to see in the city. As well as write ups here on the blog, I’ll also be sharing videos from my trip over on the SallyAkins.com YouTube channel.
I’ll also be posting my recommendations for the best things to do in the Scottish city of Dundee. The new V&A museum opens its doors this month, so it’s a great time to visit this amazing city.
Closer to home, I’ll be trying out the new season’s menu at the Aria restaurant in the Hyatt Regency Birmingham. I sampled the hotel’s Afternoon Tea a little earlier in the year, so I’m looking forward to trying out their menu.
And I’ll also be paying a visit to the Edwardian tearoom at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery for Sunday Lunch. Will it make my list of the best places for Sunday Lunch in Birmingham? You’ll have to wait and see!
