Summer is well and truly here now, and we’ve got plenty lined up over the next few weeks!
Are you ready for summer? The weather may have been a bit grey recently, and we’re not travelling as much as usual, but we’ve still got plenty lined up here on SallyAkins.com!
A couple of weeks before we were all plunged into lockdown, I took a trip up to Manchester to explore the Northern Quarter. It’s a fantastic, atmospheric area full of unique independent shops and great places to eat – certainly somewhere to visit when we can travel again. I’ll be sharing some of my favourite spots in my Guide to the Northern Quarter later this month.
And I’ll also be giving some ideas for things to do in the Lake District, which is a beautiful location for your summer holiday this year.
Summer Reading
We’re probably all going to be planning staycations this summer, and I have lots of inspiration for UK Staycations here on the blog.
If you’re looking for a relaxing read during your staycation, I’ll be reviewing Michelle Gorman’s latest book, The Staycation, later this month. In the meantime, I’ve got plenty of other book recommendations in my Summer Reading List as well
