Well, hello there January – it’s the start of another brand new year and the start of the Roaring ’20s!
I hope that you had a fabulous festive break and are feeling ready for the new year ahead. Here at SallyAkins.com, we’ve already got plenty lined up for the next 12 months, and I’m looking forward to sharing our plans with you as they unfold.
So what’s in store for the first month of 2020?
I’ll be starting off with a look back at some of the highlights of 2019. From a Jet2 Holiday in Puerto de la Cruz to a stay at Hotel Portmeirion, and from a weekend at Studley Castle to sailing to Ireland with Stena Line, it was a year full of great travel and fantastic memories.
I was fortunate enough to be able to travel with my sons, take weekend breaks with Mark, and even escape for a few days on my own.
But after that bit of nostalgia, I’ll be turning my sights to the year ahead, with suggestions for city breaks in the UK and in Europe for 2020.
You can also expect some content from close to home on the site this year, so I’ll be updating my list of fabulous things to do in Shropshire.
Whether you’re visiting on a day trip from Birmingham, or spending a weekend in Ironbridge, there’s so much to do in my home county. I still haven’t done everything on the list, so I am planning to tick off a few more things in 2020.
And this month I’ll also be taking a look at some of the ways you can prepare your car for driving in winter conditions.
Tomorrow, we’ll get the month off to a flying start with a fabulous new giveaway. You could win a Soap and Glory ‘Sweet Tin-tations’ gift set if you’re the lucky winner of the first competition of the year.
