Hello August!

July was a really exciting month for me, and it’s going to be a really hard act to follow. But August is also looking pretty fab here on SallyAkins.com!

July was a really exciting month for me, and it's going to be a really hard act to follow. But August is also looking pretty fab here on SallyAkins.com!

At the end of July, I spent a week travelling across Scotland on ScotRail trains. It was my first visit to Scotland, which is one of the items on my Fifty before Fifty list. As you can imagine, I had a fantastic experience and saw so many beautiful sights. I’ll be sharing what I saw, what I ate and where I stayed in a series of blog posts.

I also visited Dublin last month, to see U2 play Croke Park. I’ve written about visiting Dublin before, and always love staying there. My review of the hotel we stayed in will be coming up on the blog very soon.

For beauty lovers, I’ve got my full review of the Bio Extracts bespoke moisturising cream and also the Bio Extracts eye cream. They’re both very innovative products and I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts with you. I’m also picking out some of my favourite nail shades for summer, and my summer beauty must-haves.

Summer is definitely here now, even if the weather doesn’t always feel summery. I’ll be sharing some summer drink ideas and thanks to Fentimans,  I’ve got a great giveaway lined up as well. I’m also going to be trying out some interesting new noodles from Yutaka that I’ll tell you about later in the month.

There’s a lot coming up for book lovers here on SallyAkins.com this month. I’ll be sharing my Summer Holiday Reading List with you very soon, and I’ve also got some great Summer Reading recommendations from my blogger friends.

And that’s just a taste of what’s coming up during August here on SallyAkins.com!

Sounds like you’re having a fab summer, we’re on project house tidy up after a year of neglect thanks to being consumed by getting married and I feel like we’ve just about missed the summer thanks to doing it!
Very jealous of you visiting dublin, I still haven’t gotten around to going and really want to!

I think summer has already been and gone ;-) Dublin is gorgeous, you should definitely go if you get the chance!
