The winner of this giveaway was Kim W. from Coulsden, Surrey, who chose ‘Simply Nigella’ as her prize. Congratulations, Kim!
Both of these books have turned up in my post over the last couple of weeks, and they are both fantastic. I’m a big fan of both Nigella and Jamie so whenever they release new books, there’s a pretty good chance that I will be buying them as soon as possible.
Jamie Oliver’s new release is called ‘Everyday Super Food’* and its subtitle is ‘Recipes for a healthier happier you’. I’ve been watching Jamie Oliver on TV since 2001 – random fact, I got the idea for my son Oliver’s name while watching ‘The Naked Chef’! If you’ve seen Jamie on TV recently, you can’t help but notice that he’s looking slimmer and healthier these days.
Jamie explains in the introduction that as he approached his 40th birthday, he started to reassess his relationship with food. This book is packed full of nutritious, delicious recipes as well as snack suggestions, drinks and a whole load of general nutrition information. If you want to start eating healthier, it’s definitely worth taking a look at.
The second book through my letterbox was Nigella Lawson’s ‘Simply Nigella’*, which has got the subtitle ‘Feel Good Food’. Nigella has been one of my favourite food writers ever since I bought my first flat back in the 1990s. The first ‘proper’ cookbook I bought was ‘How to Eat’ and it’s a book that I still refer back to regularly. As with Jamie Oliver, I think I own most if not all of her books now.
I wasn’t bowled over by ‘Nigellissima’ but ‘Simply Nigella’ is a return to the Nigella that I love. It’s packed full of delicious, comforting food that I would just love to eat. It all looks and sounds scrumptious, and I can easily see this becoming a favourite cookbook before very long.
You can win your choice of one of these books by entering my simple giveaway. All you have to do is to tell me which you would like to win – ‘Simply Nigella’ or ‘Everyday Super Food’ and why you have chosen that book. One lucky winner will be selected at random, and if that is you, you will win the book that you chose in your comment.
You can also add extra entries through the social media options in the Rafflecopter below. The giveaway closes at 11.59pm on 30th October 2015, and I’m afraid that this giveaway is limited to UK readers only (sorry!).
The only difficult part is choosing which book you want to win!
