So no turkey dinner or festivities. I scrabbled round in m fridge and managed to put together a mackeral salad for my Xmas lunch! Never again, I hope!

    Call me old fashioned but what I love most about December is
    chestnuts roasting on an open fire and Jack frost nibbling at my toes (so long as I don’t get chilblains) yuletide carols being sung by a choir and folks dressed up like Eskimos :0)

    Spending quality time with all my nearest and dearest, seeing the excitement in the children’s faces on Christmas morning when they see Santa has been, hot chocolate stations with Christmas movies, Christmas themed afternoon teas, all the really good food and indulgent dessert, the pretty lights on the tree, seeing the children’s Christmas performances. What a lovely time of year
