BBC Gardeners’ World Live and the BBC Good Food Show Summer are back at the NEC next month and you could win tickets in my fab giveaway!
June is when one of the summer’s biggest days out returns to the NEC Birmingham. Next month, the BBC Good Food Show Summer and BBC Gardeners’ World Live will take over the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham for four days of culinary and horticultural fun.
Over 500 exhibitors will be at the show from Thursday 13th June to Sunday 16th June 2019, and one ticket gives you entry into both fabulous events.
You’ll find the best in cooking and gardening inspiration at this show. Stages around the NEC will be showcasing a full mix of plot to plate inspiration, live demos, Q&A’s, talks and plenty of advice. Plus, there’s the chance to chat to more artisan producers and gardening experts than you can fit into one day.
And two lucky SallyAkins.com readers will win a pair of tickets to this amazing event – read on for more details!
BBC Good Food Show Summer
The biggest food festival of the summer returns to the NEC with a host of fabulous chefs and cooks on hand.
All your favourites will be at the show, including Mary Berry, Tom Kerridge, Nadiya Hussain, and local star Glynn Purnell. They will be cooking up a storm on stage in the Big Kitchen and elsewhere around the Show. Make sure you reserve your seat in the Big Kitchen when you book your tickets!
And the Summer Kitchen will bring you inspiration, ideas and recipes for healthy lifestyle alternatives, seasonal cooking, family meals, and baking favourites. All sessions in the Summer Kitchen are free of charge, but be sure to get their early as seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
Browse, shop and taste your way around an amazing selection of hand-picked artisan producers and well-known brands. From the latest and innovative kitchen gadgets to the freshest seasonal produce and exciting products, dive into a food lover’s paradise and discover new delicious flavours just in time for summer.
Plus there’ll be interviews, book signings and brand new masterclasses!
BBC Gardeners World Live
Of course, firm favourite and Gardeners’ World lead presenter Monty Don will be at the show. And he will be joined at the show by co-presenters including Carol Klein, Adam Frost and Joe Swift.
And if you are visiting on Sunday, you will also be able to see gardening legend Alan Titchmarsh.
As always, you’ll be able to see inspirational Show Gardens at the show. Last year’s show featured the Made in Birmingham garden which showcased a railway embankment plot with allotment, wildflower meadow and a working steam engine.
And this year you’ll be able to walk through the Watchmaker’s Garden, which is inspired by the iconic Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. You’ll be able to wander into the watchmaker’s workshop and out along the side path.
Meanwhile the APL Avenue gardens will have a travel theme for 2019. From Moroccan colours, to the New York skyline, you’ll see how five top landscaping companies create inspirational Show Gardens with ideas that you can apply to your own space at home.
And if you’re feeling inspired after all that, the Floral Marquee and Plant Village are heaven for plant lovers. You’ll find over 100 dedicated places to buy quality plants, seeds and bulbs.
I’ll be covering both the Show Gardens and the Floral Marquee here on the blog after the show.
Ticket holders gain entry to both Shows, with children under five going free. Or an extra special treat, why not take a look at the VIP and VIP Luxe packages.
These include front row seats in the Big Kitchen super theatre and BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre. You’ll also get access to exclusive lounges and much more.
