As you probably know, skincare has become one of my big passions since I hit my forties. I love trying out new products and new technologies, so the Crystal Clear Ionic Sonic Cleanse kit is really intriguing.
Disclosure: Crystal Clear sent me an Ionic Sonic Cleanse Kit to trial, but the opinions in this post are my own and unbiased.
Most of the products I’ve trialled over the last year or so have been moisturisers. So I was really intrigued when Crystal Clear sent me through this cleansing kit. But when you think about it, it makes sense really. If you’re going to get the best out of your moisturisers, then you need to prepare your skin as well as possible. Your skin is constantly shedding dead cells which can build up on your skin. If you are just piling product on top of these cells then you aren’t going to get the best results from your skincare.
Crystal Clear was founded by Sharon Hilditch in 1995. Over the past 20 years, Sharon has worked closely with skincare experts to pioneer microdermabrasion in professional salons. She has received several awards for her work, and in 2009 she received an MBE in recognition of her services to the British Beauty Industry.
I first came across Crystal Clear last November when I visited the Ultimate Christmas Fair in Liverpool, and I was impressed by their products. I was really thrilled when they sent me through the Ionic Sonic Cleanse kit to try at home. They have also sent me their Lift Away the Years kit, which I’ll be posting about very soon.
The kit arrives in its own crisp white carry case, and as you can see from the photo at the top of the page, it includes four items:
- The Ionic Sonic Cleansing Brush – with its silicone bristles which are specially designed to avoid dragging on your skin.
- Soothing Cleansing Gel – which is suitable for gentle everyday cleansing
- Crystal Polish – which is used weekly for a gentle microdermabrasion effect
- Skin Repair Moisturiser – which is used after the treatment to moisturise and hydrate the skin
I’ll be trialling the Ionic Sonic Cleansing brush over the next week, and I’m really excited to see how my skin looks after using it.
