They say good things come in small packages. And this little bottle of Bloom & Glow by Angela Lanford is very good for your skin!
We all need a little treat from time to time, and so does our skin.
So if your face is lacking radiance, feeling sensitive or generally out of kilter, this little bottle of Bloom and Glow could be just what it needs.
I received a bottle to try out recently, and I can definitely see why this facial oil has so many devoted fans.
What They Say
Angela Langford produces a range of natural and organic skincare for face and body. She has created products to pamper all sorts of skin types, from oily or sensitive, to dry and mature skin.
Her products even cater for those who have skin concerns such as rosacea and eczema.
Bloom and Glow is a radiance restoring face oil, which has been given the thumbs up by the Good Housekeeping Institute. It nourishes, repairs, softens and brightens your skin without making it oily or greasy.
The oil contains anti-oxidants such as vitamin E and Evening Primrose Oil, as well as Q10. This anti-oxidant is present naturally in your skin, but levels diminish with age.
Other ingredients include Chia seed and rosehip which contain high levels of Omega 3. It also contains sea buckthorn, which is a ‘superfood for your skin’ and promotes cell regeneration.
Angela Langford skincare is not tested on animals, and contains no parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or colours.
My little bottle of Bloom & Glow arrived carefully wrapped in pink tissue paper. I love this, as it always makes me feel like I’m opening up a special gift. It’s a little extra touch but first impressions definitely do count.
Inside the tissue paper was a 15ml bottle of facial oil with a dropper cap. The oil is quite a vivid orange colour but of course, this is entirely natural. Angela Langford doesn’t use artificial colourings in her skincare.
Bloom & Glow has a light fragrance, and I think I can detect the scents of the neroli and rose geranium oils included in the blend.
Because it does contain essential oils, it’s worth doing a patch test if you feel you may be allergic to any of the ingredients. You can see the ingredients here.
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been using Bloom & Glow at night after my regular serum, and I’m really impressed.
The instructions say to massage one or two drops into clean skin using upward strokes. You can use this oil on its own or after your regular serum, or mix a drop or two into your moisturiser.
Sometimes facial oils can be too heavily scented or leave my skin feeling oily after use.
But Bloom & Glow is rapidly absorbed into the skin, leaving it feeling incredibly soft and evenly hydrated. There’s no oily residue and the scent isn’t overpowering, but using the oil added a relaxing effect to my skincare routine.
My skin isn’t particularly sensitive, so can’t comment on how good the oil is for sensitive skin. But I definitely feel that using it has improved the radiance of my skin, and it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.
In fact I’m almost tempted to use it as an aftershower oil for my body!
Bloom & Glow by Angela Langford: The Verdict
Bloom & Glow facial oil is a fantastic way to add a little luxury into your daily skincare routine. If your skin is tired and in need of a boost, this is a perfect product for you.
At £20.50 for 15ml, I think it’s fairly reaonably priced, especially when you consider that you only use a tiny amount each time.
I hadn’t used any of Angela Langford skincare products before I tried out Bloom and Glow. But now I’m definitely going to explore the rest of the range!
