UK Sterling notes - £20 and £10 notes

This month marks the eighth anniversary of the very first blog post here on SallyAkins.com. And whether you call that a blog birthday, a blogiversary or whatever, it’s definitely something worth celebrating.

I’ve now been blogging here at SallyAkins.com for eight years. It’s been a fantastic experience, with trips to beautiful cities like Nuremberg and Dundee, as well as stays in stunning hotels like Hotel Portmeirion and Studley Castle.

Of course, a lot has changed this year, and it feels a long time since my last trip to Scotland in March. But I’m very hopeful for the future, and I’ve got a few plans lined up for the rest of this year.

So this year I’m celebrating my 8th Blog Anniversary with a cash giveaway. There’ll be some more giveaways throughout the rest of the year, as we build up towards Christmas…

Yes, I’ll be sending £75 via PayPal to the lucky winner of this year’s first Blog Anniversary giveaway.

There are a couple of important differences to this giveaway. First of all, it is open to SallyAkins.com readers aged 18+ from all across the world, and secondly, the winner needs to have a PayPal address in order to receive their prize.

Entering the giveaway is easy. You just need to log into the Rafflecopter below and answer the simple question below. And there are additional bonus social media entries that you can use to boost your chance of winning.

This giveaway is open until 11.59pm BST on 30th September 2020.

And the question you need to answer to enter this giveaway is: If you win, what would you spend the £75 prize money on?

Good luck!

I love watching osprey nest cameras over the summer, seeing the birds come back from migration, raise their chicks, watching the chicks grow up and leave the nest. One of my favourite sites has an appeal running to raise £20k to replace all their equipment, so I’d donate the money to them.

We’re currently buying our first home, and this would be perfect to buy a new toaster and kettle for it!

My wife loves sewing and is always making things. She’s just made a dress and a skirt, and I think a blouse is next on the list, and cushion covers!
This means we are always buying material, patterns, zips, threads etc from eBay, so £75 would keep her going for a few months and give my bank balance a rest! lol

My Dad had major open heart surgery 7 months ago. He will be 80 in November and the same month will be 6 years since my Mum died. He missed her so much being at his bedside in the hospital and when he got home. If I was to win, I would love to take me, him, my brother and my aunty out for a lovely meal for his 80th birthday

Christmas presents for my children, it’s going to be a very lean Christmas as I’ve had to take off so much unpaid time off to look after self-isolating kids.
