When you’re stressed, there’s nothing like a facial or massage to loosen your shoulders and leave you feeling fantastic. But in the run-up to Christmas, many of us don’t have the time to indulge in a full-on pamper session. So I like to fit in a mini-pamper whenever I get the chance.

Pamper your Skin

Your skin comes in for some harsh treatment over the winter months, from the cold air outside and central heating inside. It’ll need a little extra TLC if you want to be looking your best on Christmas Day.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

I like to spend a little longer on cleansing my skin each evening, and at the moment I’m really loving Dermalogica’s Precleanse. It dissolves every last bit of make-up and preps my skin ready for a really thorough cleanse.

I also make sure that I’m using a good moisturising serum as well, to help to plump up my skin. My current favourite is Rodial Snake Serum O2, which makes my skin look smooth and radiant as well as minimising the appearance of fine lines.

Ren’s Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is another one of my favourite pampering products. It gently exfoliates, removing dead skin cells and always leaves my skin glowing.

And once a week, I like to spend 10-15 minutes relaxing with a moisturising sheet mask on. It makes me slow down for a few minutes, as well as plumping up my skin and making it look really fresh. My current favourite is the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Mask, and the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask is a great alternative at a lower cost.

In the Shower

On a normal day, you probably jump in and out of the shower as quickly as possible. But you could be missing out on a great opportunity to relax and pamper yourself.

I like to take a little longer on my shower when I’m feeling stressed. Use a great smelling shower gel, and and an exfoliating mitt or shower puff to make sure that your skin is glowing from top to toe.

Then afterwards it’s tempting to slather on a thick moisturising lotion like Palmer’s Cocoa Butter. But if you’re short on time, Vaseline Spray & Go Cocoa Spray Moisturiser is quicker to apply and it sinks in really quickly as well.

And don’t forget to pamper your hair as well!

I love the John Frieda Luxurious Volume range, which leaves my hair smelling great and really adds volume.

Using a hair mask or oil allows you to spend a little longer relaxing in the shower as well as making your hair look great.

I also love the John Frieda Luxurious Volume range, which leaves my hair smelling great and really adds volume. After using the shampoo and conditioner as normal, you just apply the In-Shower Treatment and wait 3-5 minutes before showering it out.

Nailed it!

I love having a full manicure and pedicure, but rarely have the time in the hectic run up to Christmas. So I try to give my hands and nails a little attention on a regular basis instead.

As well as moisturising my nails regularly I’m also using Essie Apricot Care Cuticle Oil last thing at night to protect my cuticles.

You can’t beat freshly painted nails to finish your party look, but they take so long to dry. I love the Rimmel London 60 Second Super Shine nail polish range but nothing says Christmas like bright red nails. This gorgeous Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Right Said Red is one of my favourite shades.

And to speed things up, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat means you don’t have to worry about smudges.

Take care of yourself with mini pamper sessions, and you’ll be looking and feeling fab for Christmas!
