For the last two years, I have set my target at reading 40 books over the course of 12 months. And each time I have beaten my target, last year I managed to read a total of 50 books! I’ve been thinking about increasing my target for this year’s challenge. But 50 books feels a bit scary, and I worry that I’d be setting myself up to fail. So after much thought I’ve finally decided to set my target as 45 books for 2017.
I’ve also decided to keep the added requirement of one non-fiction book per month for this year’s challenge. I didn’t actually read one non-fiction book each month, but it definitely encouraged me to look outside the fiction shelves for my reading material.
In the last two years, I have started the year with a ‘wish list’ of book that I’d like to read over the following 12 months. But as there so many fantastic books are published every month, I inevitably fail to read everything on that wishlist. So instead I’m going to share my current TBR list when I update you on my progress at the end of the month. You’ll also be able to see what I’m currently reading in the sidebar.
So let’s get started!
