The first is that this post is much later than it should be! I originally planned to post this the day after my Under £25 selection, but I was struck down with a nasty dose of the flu. That pretty much wiped me out for most of the last week, and so I didn’t get the post finished in time. Now that I’m starting to feel slightly human again, I’ve finally been able to finish it off.
The second confession is that you can find one of these products on some websites for just under £25, and another actually costs less than £20. I really wanted to include it in my selection though, and didn’t want to lose any of my other picks. So I included it in here anyway – my blog, my rules!
Some of these are products that I bought for myself, and others are PR samples or gifted items. If I’ve already reviewed the products elsewhere, I’ve linked to those reviews as well. So with no further ado, let’s have a look at my favourite products from the higher end of the price range.
Crystal Clear Ionic Sonic Cleanser
I reviewed Crystal Clear’s Ionic Sonic Cleanser right at the start of the year (click here to read the review) and really enjoyed using it. You can use it to cleanse your skin, but my favourite way to use it is with the gentle exfoliator. It really leaves my skin looking fresh and feeling smooth – perfect for this time of year!
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
Harvey Nichols very kindly gifted me a bottle of Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation a little while ago. It’s a foundation that I’d been keen to try out, and I love the silky smooth finish it gives to my skin. I find it is much more flattering to my skin than a completely matte finish.
Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick
I bought Charlotte Tilbury’s Beach Stick in Moon Beach back in the summer, ready for my holiday in Portugal. It is a lovely peachy shade with a gentle shimmer that warms and highlights my skin. The product itself is very soft and blendable, and I still use it even now that the summer sun is a distant memory!
Rodial Snake Serum O2
This product was also gifted to me by Harvey Nichols, and the name scared me a little to start off with! Rodial Snake Serum O2 reduces the appearance of fine lines, and also helps to boost radiance. At £130 for 30mls, it’s not cheap but I love how it makes my skin look.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
So this is the product that I squeezed in, even though it’s under £25. In fact Too-Faced Better than Sex Mascara actually only costs £19! This year I have tried both the standard mascara and the waterproof version. The waterproof mascara worked really well on the beach, it’s got great staying power! And I really loved how full and luscious the standard product makes my lashes look.
You know how much I love skincare, and good skincare begins with a great cleanser. Using Dermalogica PreCleanse as part of a double cleanse leaves my skin completely clean and ready for moisturising. You only need a little so this product is great value as well.
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess
This is another product that I bought for my summer holiday. I picked up both the Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent and the shimmering body oil, and I just adore the coconut-y scent. It really does smell like summer in a bottle, and I had so many compliments about it on holiday! This range is only available for a limited time each year, so it’s well worth checking out when you see it in the shops.
NARS Orgasm Blush
Breaking the habit of over 20 years, I’ve moved away from powder blush in the last couple of years. I now usually prefer a cream or gel product instead. But I was tempted back by NARS Blush in Orgasm, which gives a very natural flush to my cheeks. I was gifted this limited edition version, but you can find the standard version for under £25 on some websites.
Anne Semonin Brightening range
I reviewed Anne Semonin Brightening Serum and Cream earlier on in the year, and was very impressed by these products. They’re definitely at the higher end of the market, but if you have pigmentation issues and can afford them, I’d definitely recommend this range. You can read my review here.
REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask
I love this product! I turn to REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask when my skin is looking a little dull and under the weather. In just 10 minutes, it leaves my skin totally refreshed and glowing – it’s no wonder I make it part of my Mini Pamper Sessions!
Have you tried any of my beauty favourites? I’m really excited to see what beauty goodies are waiting for me in 2017!
