7 Days, 7 Posts is my weekly round up of some of the posts that I have enjoyed reading over the last week. They might be brand new posts, or older material that I’ve only just discovered. And they can be on any subject that I’ve found interesting, from blogging to beauty, travel to food.
Have you been enjoying this unseasonably good weather this week? Or sheltering from the torrential downpours? Here in Shropshire we’ve escaped the extremes of weather, so it’s just been lovely to have a few extra days of summer. It won’t last long, so I’m making the most of it while I can!
I’ve really enjoyed putting together this week’s selection of posts. There is a yummy cookie recipe, tips for freelancers, and a fantastically ascerbic post from one of my favourite bloggers.
I’m starting off this week’s list with a whistle-stop tour from Christine at Flowerpowerlife (@). She’s posted some suggestions for 48 Hours in Geneva, and it looks gorgeous in her photos. Geneva isn’t a city I’d previously considered for a city break, but it’s on my list now!
The next post will appeal if you are a freelance writer or thinking of going freelance. If you worry about making enough to pay the bills, Emma from Freelance Lifestyle (@) has posted Ten Ways to Boost your Income as a Freelance Writer. It’s great information for anyone who is nervous about making that step, or after new ideas.
Food time next! The first recipe is a really yummy looking Avocado Yoghurt Dressing, posted by Liz at I Heart Vegetables (@). Using avocado in the dressing is a great way to get more healthy fats into your diet.
And if you like fresh bread but don’t like waiting around for dough to prove, soda bread is ideal. Munchies and Munchkins (@) has posted this Quick and Easy Olive Soda Bread recipe, which looks fab. I love the tip she gives for a buttermilk substitute, which makes this recipe a real store cupboard standby.
The final recipe I’ve picked this week comes from Michelle at Dishes and Dust Bunnies (@ ). She’s posted this yummy recipe for Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies, which would go perfectly with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee. And with peanut butter and oats in them, you could almost convince yourself that they’re a health food!
Next up is a post from one of my favourite bloggers, the amazing Kellie at Big Fashionista (@). Her blog’s tag line is ‘Just Saying What You’re Thinking’, and she gets it spot on in this post. Why I don’t give a DAMN if my Clothes are ‘Man-Repelling’ is a sharp take down of a ridiculous article in the Telegraph. I absolutely love it!
And finally, a very special post from Alison at Complicated Gorgeousness (@). Friendship After Loss is an emotional post, one that brought tears to my eyes as I read it. It’s so beautifully and thoughtfully written – I can’t do it justice here, read it and you will see!
